Question on Xp Office for students..

I'm looking at getting "Microsoft Office XP Standard Academic Version" and was wondering if it was an independent OS or just an upgrade that I would have to install ontop of XP home or Pro.

Also, are there any issues I may have with this compared to XP home? I'm a pretty avid gamer and just wanna make sure it doesnt take away any of the features I expect with XP home.

Thanks for future responses.

Office XP Standard Academic Version isn't an operating system. It's just an office suite with Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.

It will run on your existing operating system.

also when you buy it you have to prove your a student ;)

If you are talking about XP Professional, the OS, (kinda confused by your post) it has more features than XP Home and runs games just the same. You can safely upgrade XP Home to Pro without any issues.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
