Hello everyone,

I've recently moved and I want to let my friends view my house, but in a completely different way. I want to take a 360 degree picture (actually, it would be about 5 or 6 different pictures, edited and connected) "panoramic" picture, and than put it together, so that people can look at it, with moving around. Basically, I want to do exalty what has been done here: http://www.panoramas.dk/fullscreen2/full22.html

How is this done, what program, and are there any relatively easy and cheap programs out there that does this?

Thanks,

I doubt there's any program that could do it for you. You just need to mount your camera somewhere, take a pic, turn it a bit, take a pic, repeat, then open all the images in a graphics app and put them all together. I don't think there's any 'easy' way to do it :\

The images you were looking at were created by Quicktime VR (virtual reality)
It's an old technology now.

Back when I used to do graphic design (at least 8 years ago) I created a document myself on my 33Mhz mac (fond memories :)) using QuicktimeVR.
There's an app front-end to create the panoramic views, and a web plug-in to view them.

As SpeedY says, ya still gotta do the photography, but QTVR's the way to collate and present those photos.

Surprised you guys didn't know this being Steve Jobs' afficionados :p

I'm not sure if it's still available for nowadays though. :shrugs:

Hope this helps :)

New digital cameras can do these 'panoramic' pictures.

They can eh? Well meh, I just slowly take pictures around my room.. If all else fails.. i dunno haha

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
