Query- Hdd related

Got a hdd with a couple bad sectors. Windows98 has scanned then and supposedly marked them so that they won't be used again. Except for the fact that this is the third time it's done this for the same bad sectors. Think I should call it a hardware issue or maybe try and see if Win2k handles this better. No way to do winxp, only a 8 gig drive

Well it will probably show the same bad sectors as bad each time you scan ... as long as its not allowing OS to use them all should be good. If you don't trust win98 scandisk use win2k version.
