Quake II

I'm a HUGE Q2 fanatic (more like frantic), but after the installation of XP Home Edition, the game runs much slower than in 98, and also my crosshair has disappeared (wtf?)

Can anyone PLEASE help me? I have the latest patch and Id Software doesn't mention problems with XP

i think if you type crosshair 1 in the console you can get it back. If you use an Nvidia card get their drivers as the default XP ones can't do OpenGL and Direct3D is slow. Need more system specs....if you have a VIA based board try the unofficial PCI Latency Patch at VIAhardware.com

im on Xp pro and it runs like a bet outta hell how much ram u running ?
