I have found a port to FreeBSD for Quake 2 (it's opensourced now, so this isn't illegal), but there were no maps, at least, I didn't see them. Can someone point me where I can find it in the ports collection and/or where can I find maps (maybe the orginal pak3?) for use with Quake2 in FreeBSD?

The source is open, you still need to purchase/use your original (Windows) game to get the pak files though. These contain parts of the game that aren't open source.

I can't just download an open sourced level? I really need the pak files?

considering they hold textures and other required data, yes, you need them :D

Ah ok. But never mind, I also found a port of RTCW and I happen to own the game :D, so I can copy the maps.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
