I don't think this really needs to be asked, but here goes:
The other day at my school i was looking at my class list and saw Computer Science (aka QBASIC) on there. I know how to code in basic, (since 95 came around) and was wondering if there were any practical uses for the program anymore. Does anyone still use it? ever?

If its a High School, a HS Computer Science course is probably either C++ or Java. QBasic has no practical use anymore. And if your school considers it a class, they deserve to be shot ;)

in 95 i took programming in HS and we used pascal.. he said it would teach us basic programming structure.. but i think our HS didn't want to pay Borland for C++ licenses..

Here on my univeristy we first had LISP, then ADA, then Java. Then a course that required C++. Had we studied C++? Noooo...
Now they're at least making a C++ course for the next year.

i hate it that the administrators do not know how programing courses are supposed to be structured

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
