program 4 editing movies/clips

whats an application that lets you delete parts from a movie clip like a .avi, .mpg, mpeg (anything but qucktime).....i need it because i need to delete these ads in front of this music video.

Adobe Premiere is pretty good for editing movies, but its also quite expensive. Windows Movie Maker (included with WinME & WinXP) will allow you to "import" avi's but I think (not sure) you can only save them as .WMV.

Ofcoarse there are many others. Go to the bigger freeware / shareware sites and look under the catergory video editing or the likes.

PowerDirector v1.0 is availible on PCPLUS Super Discs and other PC mag cover discs as well.

The above are availible in the UK, but I dont know were you are located to give more location specific info like that.
