processor upgrade question

Just for FUTURE reference. . .far future hopefully. . . . . .I presently have a 2.4 GHZ intel. Now, since the new 2.53 GHZ came out w/ a different bus, could I put one of those on my MOBOD? Basically, can any P4 interchange w/ an older one???

I'm pretty sure you cant, unless your motherboard supports the new bus speed, which it likely can't
