Problems with USB gamepad

i have a Gravis game pad pro USB. For some odd reason every time my PC goes onto stand by and comes back it dont work anymore. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting which used to work but doesnt anymore. please help so it can work everytime.

the update didnt help...the gamepad still doesnt work after standby

it was powered by the PC now i have it self powered and its able to get 500 mA per port apposed to 100mA per port. But it still doesnt work.

In device manager, try going to USB root hub/properties/power management and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

You probably already have tried this, but just incase ..
