Problems with Switching User

I have XP home and have problems when using the "switch user" function. After the switch; it feels like my machine is a 486/66. I have a Compaq wityh an 1.37 AMD XP Athlon, 256 DDR SDRAM; and a 40 gig hard drive.

When I logout and go back to the original user - all is well.

Ideas?

Remember....

It keeps all the other users tasks in the background running. Now I am running a standard amount of small appz and they all come to 221MB on their own. So your page file willl be going mental when you start a second user.... and add another 100MB easy...
