Something have happend to my adress book. I got this error-msg:

The Contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Outlook Help.

Any ideas?

Thanx in advance :)

I have to add that I have formated my hd, and I have used a program called Outlook 2000 backup, in order to restore my adress-list, and msg's I want to have.

gustav64, have you tried to manually import your address book?

Did you save the files on a CD?

Have you restarted and tried it again?

Let us know thanks! :)

IMO i think that the file is probably damaged. I am not a professional in any of this it is just M/O

Thanks for your replies.

I saved the files on another partision that i formated, but the files were saved as *.oeb files, that only the Outlook 2000 Backup program can read. The files worked perfectly well before the formating, because I tried them.

Any other suggestions?

Won't help you now, but in the future change the store path for your messages to an alternate partition (In Express it is Tools->Options->Maintainance....but I'm sure it is different for Outlook). For example, instead of using the default path for messages, I store mine in E:\Backup\Email\(profile name).

As for the address book, manually back it up (I would assume they are *.wab files in Outlook as well as Express -- do a search).

The next time you format, when Outlook is all set up you can just import your messages by changing the store path to where you last saved them and import your address book by using File->Import and Export then follow the wizard.
