Hi all,
Don't know if anyone can help.
I am playing Splinter Cell: Double Agent for the last week. Bought it off Steam. I have not had any issues with it, up until this:
My onboard sound quit working, so I purchased a new one, a ASUS Xonar DX PCI Express. This was about a week ago.
I started playing SCA again, and now it is locking up while playing. I do manage to get back onto the desktop, but the sound is stuck in an infinite loop, to the point that I must reboot.
I switch back to 2 channel, and it plays fine. Switch to 5.1, and it locks up.
I do have the most updated drivers for my card, and the game.
This game was released on November 17, 2006 for Windows, and I am thinking that it just too old for my gear.
