problem with sounds

i have a problem with my ear phone sound ie not very loud i have micro soft game voice 1s the ear phones are ok i checked them on my boys pc and they were loud my speakers that are connected to them are also loud i have a via ac 97 audio wave on board sound other pc has the same i think any help on this would be apreceated thx

so, you're not getting enough volume out of your headphones? you try increasing the main volume as well as the "wave/mp3" volume?

if you have and still no luck, some sound processors aren't meant to output at loud volumes. they were meant to have powered speakers hooked up to them where the sound can be amplified.

i suppose so, yeah. or an amplifier of some sort.

sound card would be cheaper, though. but then again, there's no guarantee the sound card will output at a loud enough volume for you. though i think a vast majority would.
