problem with sidewinder gamepad

ok i got a problems with the MS sidewinder gamepad the on with the regular Soundcard connection not the USB version

since XP uses the Sidewinder Autodetect driver wich doesnt work since it gives the games a big delay

oif anybody knows a driver that can fix this or a other way to fix thise please let me know

or is it possible to remove a game control driver and then add one from win ME
if so please explain how

I don't have a sidewinder so i'm afraid i can't be much help.

i think the problem comes down more to your sound card drivers rather than your gamepad m8.

ive got a sb live value with a sidewinder gamepad (using the gamepad port rather than usb) and it works fine.

try updating the sound drivers if u can.
