Since recently updating itself my Vista running laptop is having major problems.
It often freezes and is particularly bad when running Firefox. It will lock up shortly after starting the application and require a power down to recover.
It occasionally tells me that a search indexing service has stopped running, but this doesn't always result in a fatal crash.
Just now firefox refused to start & required reinstalling (a known issue with seemingly) but after this it crashed again and the whole programme was wiped after the checkdisk function binned a load of files during the restart.
WTF???
