problem with CONNEXANT modem

You have only to try :) Maybe you have a Soft56k modem so it doesn' work with other drivers, doesn't it? Try to search in Google.com

had a similar problem with a "riptide" combo card an an hp system. what i did that worked was:

1. Forced the win98/me/2k driver to install. (didn't work) (HP website)
2. ran the "update" driver. (didn't work)(HP website)
3. uninstalled the drivers.
4. autodetected the modem again. (WORKED!!!)

I beleive that the reason that it worked the last time was the partial use of drivers provided by hp, and the rest running from XP.

I would probably search the sites of both the CARD manufacturer (not the chipset), as well as the system manufacturer <<assuming this is a system included card>>

Conexant

QuakeGod, by" stop gap" Conexant mean to use their drivers as a temporary solution.
They'd probably be generic W2K drivers.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
