i was using win me and my teac scsi 4x cd-r and toshiba 40x scsi cd-rom work fine.
after i upgraded to win xp, they dont work right now.
first, the light on teac cd-r was always blinking under win me, now it's solid light under win xp.
2nd, the toshiba cd-rom under easy cd creator 5 basic can not be detected corrected. on the cd copier mode, the read can not be detected as correct toshiba cd rom model, instead, it showed only drive id "E:" and the max read speed can only be 1x.
3rd, when i put the blank cd in teac cd-r under easy cd, it can not be detected (no problem before).

i am using adaptec 2940u2w scsi card.
i just updated the firmware for the scsi card. i tried to update the firmware for the teac (i think the model is 55s or something lke that) but the update problem can not be run under xp (showed "can not find file ??????")

anyone know about this problem?? what should i do???
please let me know...

Thank you

Eric

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(
