ok i have noticed this before but not really care about it, but i was doing a lot of printing and i wanted to cancle something and it would be at like the beginingn of a page and it would finish that page and then half of the other one, is this just becasue serial is slow or drivers or windows. my printer is epson stylus 660 color

I've always seen it take some time as you are describing. I've always assumed that the delay was the time needed for communication, like you are saying. Usually the larger the print job, the longer the cancel operation will take. I don't know that anything can be done to change this.

Best way to cancel a printing job is to take the paper out of the tray. :D

Yeah that would work :D

*From Epson's User Manual:

To Permanently Cancel a Print Job
Step 1: Unplug the printer from the computer and outlet.
Step 2: Pick up the printer.
Step 3: Throw the printer through the nearest window.
Step 4: Visit an authorized Epson dealer and purchase a new Epson printer.

Its because that part of the (printing) job was already in the printers memory, and not in Window's printer spooler.

See if your printer manual says anything about canceling a job AT the printer.

Kind regards,
Willem Moolenaar

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
