I made a change at some point and I'm not exactly sure what I did but now whenever I send something to my printer the entire system pretty much comes to a crawl until its just about done printing..

anyone have some pointers for me as to what I did and what I can do to fix it?

Thanks

Got the latest drivers?
Also, is the printer spooling the printjob? Or is it printing straight from file?

Its an old printer (HP 540) so I just used the drivers on the windows XP cd. I have it set to spool and start when the last page is spooled. I have the print processor set to RAW. I've given it both a low priority and a high priority which didnt seem to affect they system either way..

Did I miss anything?

I am using ICS and I do share this printer over my LAN.

Have you disabled print spooler in services ????

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
