HP Deskjet 960c. Recently started to drip ink while printing. ( little coloured dots, red, blue, whatever, on paper ) This happens while printing black and white/colour. Dissapointing, since I want to print photographs and photopaper is expensive, it messes it up.

Any way to remedy this?

have you replaced the cartridge? If that doesn't work you may need to have your printer serviced.

I have tried tertiary, secondary, and primary options that came with HPs software for cleaning the printer cartridges. Doesn't seem to help much, it goes away for a few prints , then comes back. Cartridges aren't old, either, just got the colour one a few weeks ago, two or so.

could be the catch mat is sodden with ink, shove a q-tip under where the heads park, if its wet through, thats why, or the heads are shagged.

Also.

Check if there is an ink usage option in the printer set up. Sometimes you can adjust how much ink is pushed out with each drop. If this setting is too high you'll get wet prints, smears etc.

Is it a real HP print head or a knock off or refill? The real cartridges and inks are better (not as much better as the price is higher...). Printers are like barbie dolls. You give them away and then charge a fortune for the accessories.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
