what should prefetcher be set to? i have it set to 1 right now.. but before it was 3 and i thought i saw that also 5 could be used... prefetcher is found in the memory management of registry

Set it to 3. 5 can cause instability. I believe 1 is default. I have mine set at 3 with no problems.

"5" is a "non-value".....it has absolutely no meaning and is the equivalent of "0" in this case (disables prefetch). The valid prefetch settings are:

1: Cache Programs
2: Cache boot process
3: Cache both
0 (or any other number than 1,2, or 3): Disable prefetch

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
