Prefetch folder question

hello.this happenedto me once before.
my prefetch folder in C\windows is always empty.it use to fill up,as usual but now there is never any entries in it.the trick suggested in this forum was to run bootvis,which i did do again,but it did not populate the prefetch folder like before.
anyone else notice this.x-pro-sp1

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters

Make sure EnablePrefetcher has a value of 3

Also make sure Task Scheduler is enabled.
