Power user/User Levels

You must have Administrative Privileges.
Start > Control Panel > Users Account.
You can just click on the account you want to modify.
Now click on "change my account type".
You can figure it out from there.

I only have one account so that is as far as I can go.

no it was RUN CMD line, when u first start with one account with XP u are adminstrator, above that their is a Power User, bigger badder then Admin.

On Win XP Pro on the run command type "lusrmgr.msc" for Win XP Home on the run command type "control userpasswords2" you will find options to change the group membership some where in there either by right clicking on the account and going to properties or selecting properties depending on the version of XP you have. I beleive Power Users is not part of Win XP Home.

Edit: Didn't see the other post there, actually the Administrator group is the highest in Win XP unless you are part of an AD Domain then it would be sometihng else.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
