Posting using Ubuntu from the LiveCD

i have had a play with ubunto live cd, and got on really well with it!

only problem was it didn't suport my wireless card, and i couldn't be arsed to play around with drivers for it

may install it again now i have a spare laptop hardrive :D

I received the five CD's from ubuntu a few months ago. There are actually two CD's, including a "live" one. If anyone wants the package they send out, you can PM me your address ane I will send you one in the mail.

Been meaning to try out Ubuntu for ages...might as well get the Live CD too.

i installed uBuntu last week didn't like it, i like kde linux better

then you should have tried Kubuntu! ;)

Sorry can't help you directly Pluto - the guys over at the Justlinux site I have found very helpful though - tell Je_fro I sent ya if you visit!

And Dreamliner - we can all wish for things, but Ndiswrapper is not that challenging and once done you are good to go - it would be tricky integrating the wireless, because of all the different varitations..... I kinda sympathise, but as I say the Ndiswrapper learning curve is a one time thing and then you're good to go.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
