Ports that are open

I installed Sygate's personal firewall the other day for the first time on my XP box.

On Win98 it blocked all ports during th test but on XP it says that my Telnet and HTTP port are open. How can I block those ports especially the Telnet port 23?

I was thinking of just buying a LinkSYs Switch with built in Hardware Firewall. Any suggestions?

Y do you want to block the HTTP port?
U can always download Active Ports and see all of your open Ports and wich app is using them, than manualy close wich ever Port you like.
