I've went completely mobile n bought a reasonably high spec laptop to replace my desktop.
As a music producer the biggest downfall is the sound. At the moment i'm just using realtek high definition audio on the built in card, which i am assuming is no good if i am producing music.
I've been looking at the PCMCIA cards and there's a Sound Blaster Audigy Notebook card, but i cant find it anywhere? there is a newer X-Fi card, but i think it supports a newer type of pc card slot.
Can anyone offer any advice, i hear there are USB sound cards, do they offer better performance over PCMCIA?
