Does anyone know of a program that finds and removes porn items on a computer?

Here is why. My friend has a computer at his home that belongs to his company and his son, (27) ocassionall visits and has used it and now my friend has noticed that it has porn on it and he must return the computer to the company soon.

I showed him how to delete IE temporary files, cookies, and
history.

Aside from reformatting and reloading everything, is there any prorams that can help in the removal?

While not "porn specific" Lavasoft's Ad-Aware 6.0 does a good job of finding some of the "spyware" that porn sites frequently deposit on unsuspecting computers. The freeware version is fully functional, or you can buy the "pro" version. I don't have the link right in front of me but it is very popular, so you can just search on "ad aware" or find it on CNET or some such.

What happens when someone uses a file recovery utility at the company...? BUSTED! You should not only erase the files but wipe them as well with the ol' trusty P. Gutmann wipe!:p

Just tell your friend to tell the company (if they find the porn) that his son used the computer to do research on how porn and music downloads effect the sales of broadband for a thesis paper and the material they found was part of his research! then provide this link:

maybe try searching for all movie files and picture files. just search for all .jpg extensions.

hmm i think its easier to renove it then to make a whole story up

just say that a previous employee left it on there along with the cindy does old macdonalds farm and the sickening beastiality images.

Easiest way to clean it up? fdisk, reformat, fdisk, reformat. Now run a huge big magnet over it and say your PC got screwed over by a huge electrical surge.

then he can go to jail for being a vandal!!! yay!.......

just do a search for images and video files

*.jpg
*.jpeg
*.png
*.avi
*.mpeg
*.mpg
*.divx

those are all the most common media types that porn would prolly be so run searches for those
