I got a problem. I went to some site and it installed something I cant get off. on IE whatever it was that installed when you right click near the address bar for the properties it doesnt have a name. Its just blank. ya know.. the menu where it says lock the bar, links, blah blah... It installed SOMETHING and I dont know wtf it is. But now every I think 5 minutes a stupid pop up ad will come up out of no where. I ctrl+alt+del and theres nothing there. how do I get rid of this?

Are you sure it is IE & not Messenger? You can turn off Messenger by going to control panel/administrative tools/services. It is not a part of windows messenger.

messenger is disabled. Its pretty annoying when every 5 minutes a pop up ad will come up. I cant even play games cause it will go to the damn pop up ad. I have no clue wtf it is. I had some program called purity scan on my comp that I uninstalled. I never even installed that program. no one did. bah.

Try doing a forum search username dealer.

dealer is up with this behavior & has posted recently on how to get IE back to normal.

This is starting to make me sick.. bah..

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
