I was playing around in the file options ... (under folder options .. then the file options tab) and I messed with something that had to do with the .htm files ... dont know what I changed. At any rate .. I used to have it so that I could right click anywhere .. for instance the desktop and under new ... I could click on .htm and make an htm file. Well since I played around with it I can no longer do so ... the wierd thing is that under Setup-X and Tweak UI ... .htm extension is checked meaning that I should be able to make one ... but that isnt the case ... can someone help me. THanks!

Open up your Registry and make your way here:-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.html\ShellNew

In the right hand side make a new String Value and call it:-

NullFile

Thats all there is to it

P.S.
If ShellNew doesn't exist, just right-click on:-
.html
and create a new Key and call it:-
ShellNew

hmm ...

Thanks for the quick reply but that didnt seem to work 🙁

Well then try adding the same information to this Key on the same path:-
htmlfile
