playing mp3 on dvd player

Is there a way to play my mp3 cd on the dvd player without having the television on (just the speakers and not the televison screen) I really didn't think there was unless I ran through a receiver with additional speakers.

should be the same way you play your movies but it would be music...works on mine fine.

If you have speakers other than that of the television set, then it's possible, otherwise you will need the TV on.

just hook the audio out to your home stereo ...
