most games, because of their complexity, have to have it integrated in some way for it to work well, otherwise it does a number on your overall performance.
if I remember somewhat correctly, if you add "-w" to the shortcut (or run with that argument) for some* games it will work, but I honestly can't be sure, and am entirely too lazy to check. might want to google it up somewhere, or wait for a response here from someone who might know for sure
