My DVD will play video but there is no sound. Are there any suggestions other than turn up the volume?

It has no sound. It will play video. The software is Windows Media player. All other applications work. CD, Downloadable movies and music etc... It is just the DVD player. IT is plugged in with power and its ribbon cable. All volumes are turned up and Windows XP reports no errors. Windows XP DVD troubleshooter does not solve the problem.

Check to see if you have an audio cable running from the dvd drive to the sound card, that may be all you need.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
