Two days ago I've bought a new cooler for my cpu ( Athlon 1.1 Ghz - Titan D5TB 3000RPM [ last cooler 7500 RPM = very noisy ] ) . Some friends told me that this cooler will be perfect for my cpu but now temperature is the same (52) . What i don't know exacly , how more thermal compund I must put between them ! If anyone has a new ideea or a new cooler and wants to share with us he is welcome . Thanks a lot !

just get some artic silver 3 and add like a drop, I think that is your question, right?

When it comes to thermal transfer, more it not always better. I like the new thin fin heatsinks that are coming out for cooling high end processors. Also, never add more heatsink compound! Use Artic Silver 3 and follow the directions on their web site. Make sure your surfaces are clean and spread a thin layer, "paper thin", on your CPU core. That is it! If you follow the directions I expect you will see results given the fact you heatsink is good quality.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
