pentium 4 socket423 max speed?

anyone know the fastest p4 423 sockets go? im looking to upgrade my dell mobo and i dont know if my 1.7ghz p4 is a 423 or 478. i did find out however my mobo currently supports up to 2.4ghz p4. but i also heard that the 423 socket sets only went as fast as 2.0ghz so if thats the case then i can safely assume i have a 478 socket set right?

i dont personally own intel products, but i have seen at frys what they call "P4 socket adapters"

so i am guessing you will be fine no matter what u might just need to pick one of those up, never really looked at them myself
