Hi. I tried to resize my partition and used Partition Magic. It said that it was 100% successful. During reboot of my PC it won't boot anymore. I tried to Safemode but it stops at Mup.sys and goes to Window logo and stays there. ALso tried "Last good config option" but the same freeze happens.
AFter freezing for so long it will boot again at "safe mode options" How can I fix this. Thanks.

maybe try boot from windows CD
choose R for repair...

do
chkdsk /r
fixboot
fixmbr
exit

partition magic is terrible software, i would recomend in future to check out acronis disk director

ok. I will do that. thanks for the post.

I had loaded the XP setup disc and it only was able to load at "Checking system configuration.. " and it stopped there. I had to reset/reboot to load again but still freezes after Checking system configuration.... What else can I do? I want to try to repair it so that I don't have to reinstall everything. Thanks.

id leave it for a while.. sometimes if the filesystem is correupt, the windows disc will take a loooong time to kick in...

try leave it for 20-30mins just to see

I used Acronis v10 to boot and saw that my "d" partition was deleted. so I had undeleted it. Still I can't boot since the boot file maybe corrupted. I even used PE builder, but since PE builder needs windows system to boot up nothing happened. While the Window CD boot up is in the cd bay after "Checking system configuration.. " freeze, there is no activity on the light / cd not reading.. But lile you suggested I will leave the cd overnight. tnx.

Here is where I say that it is important to ALWAYS image your C: drive before you start playing with partitions.

Lesson learned.
This is also the first time that patition magic went bad.
I am now in the process of repairing my hdisk with ERD Commander CD. I will post what will happen. :(

Works now.
I used a cdutil cd which boots at startup and used almost all repair utils there and can't even remember how I did it but it was able to fix the boot partition and it started at safe mode and installed the new hardware ( hardisk ) and reboot. Then was able to boot at normal mode. Thanks for all the posts. :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
