PC Crashes out when I run a game

Hope someone can help me.

I have XP home edition, with a 1.2 Gig processor, 256 DDR ram and a 64Mb Geforce 2 graphics card.

I try to load a pc game for the first time (suitable for win 2000 applications) and it crashes out after about a minute of use. So bad that it shuts the pc down and reboots, with no messages other than the usual one from windows when it reboots, saying "serious error, do you wish to report...."
Ive checked with another game and this does the same.

Any help would be really welcome.

Right click on the applications icon> properties> 'compatibility' tab. Try out different compatiblity modes. If it still doesn't work right then you might want to set up a dual or triple boot system so you can play these older games.

I have a GeForce 2 graphics card, and had a game that would not play, until I changed drivers.

Try changing your drivers. You can always wind back your drivers if it does not work through device manager.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
