I was changing the password on my laptop running xp pro and I guess I typed in something wrong and don't know what I typed.. now I can't get into my laptop. Anyone know how to bypass this?

Thanks

there is a bootdisk which give you the abitlity to change the password. i dont know if tis legal (i geuss not) so if you want it. email me at sboulema@wanadoo.nl

I think it's legal, but it probably goes against the forum guidelines.
BTW thanks again for the link to it, it a real cool prog.

Well bypassing the password field or defeating Windows security (hehehe) is against forum guidelines. But you cna reset the password if you have the Windows XP cd and or you have made a disk to save the password in Control Panel under Users and Passwords in there under the users account you can choose to backup the account password.

 Oh wonderful! Emailed you.. and thank you tons!

What's that about in your sig.. personal avatar and sigs... kewlness.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
