pagefile.sys (swap file?)

My twopenethworth ..
I have a dual boot (W2000/XP) machine with only a single HDD of 8 Gig .. I am running out of space so I set the location of the pagefile.sys to be the same for both OS's (on a partion (e:) which is not the same as the partions containing any of OS's (c: and d:)).

500 Meg better off. With no problems experienced.

yes...if you are short drive space, it's fine to use the same page file for your dual boot...here's how for everybody else;

A shared pagefile is do-able...the sizes have to match...set up one system normally (the pagefile can be in that system's partition or anywhere else...doesn't matter), shut down, boot the other, go to the VM settings, set its former pagefile to zero size, and configure the pagefile on the partition where the first OS's pagefile is. It'll warn; "there is already a file called pagefile.sys, do you want to use this as the paging file?" Say yes and you're good to go

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
