i get the same error just my appers on start up. i sometimes also get BAD_pool_HEADER. I tried the ram, didnt work, when i try and go into safe mode it goes thru the files and stops on gernuwa.sys, which i found out is linked to pcanywhere. BUT i have no way of getting in and removing it. i dont have the xp dics handy cause they are at my dads, so i cant reinstall xp.

You can just start a new one.
More to the point though - last time I had the pagefault_in_non_paged_area is was down to buggy drivers (in my case nvidia).
It sounds like your pc cant load windows at all - so unless you have a linux cd handy with NTFS write support, you're unlikely to be able to rescue this.
A trip to your dad's is in order to borrow the xp cd back and reinstall.
