Would you please recommend a good, but free Packet Sniffer which offers the most features/options being that it's free.

Trial versions are also welcome.

Nothing wrong with packet sniffers. We use ethereal all the time in our Cisco classes.

hello all, does any one know where i can buy a packet sniffer but in hardware form. So something that i can plug the network cable into and then have it run back out. So that it can capture the traffic. I know these items do exsist, but am unsure of were i can purchase them from. In theroy it would work like a hardware keyloger.

Set up a box with whatever OS the above mentioned, and high recommended software can work on, run a network cable, and away you go.
