It might give you a better score when benchmarking,so if all you want is bragging rights go ahead, unless you are some sort of expert you wont notice any difference on your screen
Personally i really like my card and dont want to see it go up in smoke, just for bragging rights(my opinion)good luck.
make sure ur venting heat away from the card. heat kills em & overclocking shortens the life span of the card (but not much). with me i want 85fps in all games at full res or im not happy and end up spending more money... damn that mohaa.....
If you want to overclock do a search for your card version on www.google.com and some sites have reviews on cards and test them to see how well they overclock. This would be a start.
The big problem when overclocking is heat, unless your card has good cooling I wouldn't recommend overclocking it.
Double click,i just noticed you have the same vid card as me,how long have you had it clocked at that speed and how stable is it?just interested,as i just got mine a month ago and i havn`t seen many MSI ones about.
btw i allready have extra cooling on mine(slot cooler)just to be extra careful,im not really interested in ocing.Thanks.
I have had the Visiontek Geforce 3 for about 8 months....can't remember when I got it for sure..anyways it's been overclocked like that since it was new and it is stable as a rock. I have seen others have theirs overclocked higher than mine is and they said there's was stable also.
I just overclocked enough to get over 8000 points in 3DMark2001
