OK I took out Office 2003 beta cuz microsoft is cheap and I am trying to run Outlook XP and I get an error saying that the mapir.dll is missing and the mapi32.dll can't be found any help any ideas?

Why is Microsoft cheap?

Have you tried to look on your HD for the missing MAPI32.dll?

It belongs in WinNT\System32 when using XP.

oops mapi32 is corrupted or the wrong version, mapir.dll is missing, my bad

Just out of curiousity, did you remove Office 2003 beta before installing Outlook XP?

Did you install any other applications after installing Outlook XP?

I took out Office 2003 and then reinstalled XP, but I'm not sure I restarted after taking out '03, would that have done it

Unless the program asks you to reboot, I dont find it necessary. :)

Here's something I would try.

Backup any mail that you'd like to keep. Un-install Outlook XP, Reboot, and Re-install Outlook XP.

Doesnt sound efficient but could work.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
