I noticed that the default mail sending format in Outlook Express is HTML rather than Plain Text. Is this the best option?

i use HTML personally... its useful for letting the program auto-change urls to a hyperlink etc :)

i think you can add html code to the body of the email and it shows correct, but i could be totally wrong - never tried it tbh

I use HTML in most cases (except when replying to a mail that's in plain text)

I like to use a navy-blue Tahoma font :)

This is obviously a personal opinion, but i despise HTML mail, there's no need for it. I send and read only in plain text.

Ack! Sacrilege!! That's like saying there's no need for little windows cut into the sides of your computer case!! That's like saying there's no need for obscenely big (and obscene!) sigs in your ntfs posts!!!! ACK ACK ACK

Ditto

most of the time I dont give a crap how its sent, but I do hate all of those damn chain letters that have the previous part of the email attached, I mean firstly that is just not useful, and second what is the point in the chain letter anyways

OK Geffy. Question how in hell did you post that half naked babe? I click attach a file and all i get in my post is a URL to see the gif,jpg or whatever.

I don't have a problem at the half dozen other forums i visit Thanks.

You need to go to the User CP, and add the picture to your signature.

Use the [ img ]URL to the image here[/ img ] tags (without the spaces)

I agree, but it's also a security option

When you click on an email that's sent in html, it's the same as clicking on a website. If you don't have it set to just download the email headers or read in plain text, you're polling the website to download the images or who-knows-what in the mail. Now you've verified your email address to SPAMInboxOffers*!#@@spam.com for more email messages on how to get out of debt or enlarge your best friend by 6". Most reputable websites give you the option to receive emails in html or plain text. Hope that helps

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
