Outlook Express & AOL Instant Messenger

I just installed the latest AOL IM program on my Windows XP pro system. Now every time I launch Outlook Express, the AOl IM program automatically launches.... I do not like this.

Before I uninstall AOL IM, I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on how to shut this off.

Inside Outlook express (Tools Options General) the Auto Log onto AOL IM is NOT selected and the AOL IM auto sign on sign off is unselected as well.


Any Ideas????

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
"Set Program Access and Defaults" tab

Change the default Instant messenger program to Windows Messenger. That should revert it back to what it was.
