I've got a friend whose Outlook crashes immediately after opening it. No error message or anything. Had her reboot but that didn't do the trick. There's a repair function on the CD, right? Other than that, I'm thinking about having her try a system restore -- any better ideas?

I would suspect they may have an addin that is breaking Outlook.

You may first want to try and open Outlook in Safe Mode. Start, Run "Outlook /safe" (no quotes)

You can disable addins manually I believe, but can't recall off the top of my head where it is. A sample would be disabling PDF (if they have the writer obviously), which can be done like this -

Thanks, Derek -- I'll give that a shot tomorrow.

Rushy, I assume I'd need to be able to get into Outlook to change those settings. I suppose I could if I were to get it into Safe Mode, though.

Ryan, anything in the Event Viewer? I've had to deal with issues with Outlook crashing because of ntdll.dll. Let me know.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
