Outlook Address Book

I get the following message when I try to use the Outlook Address Book:

The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated with this address could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Outlook Help.

What is causing this problem?

Make sure that the Outlook .PST file is in the correct place, although if you use your address book to send mail, then I guess it would be. It should be in C:\Documents and settings\User name\Local settings\Application data\Microsoft\Outlook. If it isn't, then you need to move it to this folder. (This is for a standard installation. If you installed something to anywhere other than its default folder, then this wont work.)

To find it, CLOSE OUTLOOK, then do a search using "more advanced options" and check the hidden files and folders box. Then search for 'outlook.pst', without the ' marks.

As I said, it should be in the above location.

Hope this helps.

GraLk. :D

Any of the SP crew still out there?
