Original GTA help

#1
Just reinstalled GTA on my machine for "old times sake". Basically, with the frame limiter on the game runs so slowly it is untrue but when i turn it off it runs so fast it is unplayable. Is there a way to reduce the effect of the frame limiter??

Cheers

what are your system specs?

you should be able to increase the resolution to slow down the game after the limiter is off...

so... once you are in the game press f8 to toggle the limiter and then press f11 to change the resolution to a higher one. (i'd try the highest and then come down if your system can't handle it

hope this works

i'm thinking hes talking about gta1... gta1 and 2 are 2d..

umm.. there was a rockstar page on this.... let me see if i can find it

here... read this
http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/

they also say that the display settings should slow it down, maybe you should download the new version? i think they modified it to run on modern computers

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS
