opening media links in internet explorer

I just thought I'd post this for any people out there who are having problems with windows media player 11 not opening video files when you click on the link in internet explorer, I was having woeful problems after installing codec packs, nero, and real player...

Control Panel -> Programs -> Default Programs - > Set Program Access And Defaults

Then just choose Microsoft Windows. Job done!

This would be after you've set your default programs and set media player as the default program for all the files it can open...
