Had a request from a feathered friend about a tweak he use to use in earlier operating systems.

Would basically allow you to highlight a word i.e. "ntfs.org" and right click, go to URL would appear on the context menu.

I am sure we can do something for him.

I'll share what i Know (which isn't that much).
Though someone will probably post an easy way out pretty soon :p

Only way I can think of is by adding a new key (probably keys) to the registry.
For IE only, the setting for the menu are in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Extensions/

For Windows in general its in
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\

Perhaps just ie...
check out the attachment... seems pretty cool

Note that reg file calls on C:\WINNT so if you have XP installed into WINDOWS or a different root drive it probably wont work.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
