"open folder" not working

ok so the open folder button after a download in ie for example isnt working anymore. the folder just doesnt appear! this is also the case for like, unzipping an executable zip and then clicking open folder... doesnt work. i snooped around in file types a bit and was just completely lost for where to begin on this one. it seems so ... i dont even know like too simple and too why-the-hell-is-this-happening lol wellll

any help is greatly appreciated mates

Go to IE/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced

See if thae above is ticked.

ah you must excuse my poor problem-description skills then... or perhaps laziness/impatience... well either... anyway, that window comes up all fine and dandy just the button itself that opens the folder... doesnt open the folder... like ya know in explorer and all, and all i have to say, is wtf mate

So the button is there but when you click on it nothing happens???

Is it a recent problem? If so & you have ME or Xp try doing a system restore.
